I follow a couple of long distance shooters on youtube.. shots are phenomenal.. I've never hit target at 1000 yards.
I've shot with a Barrett a handful of times. I've hit pretty close.. but to dial it in.. so many factors. Those rounds are like $10 / ea too so..

My pops has a 7MM Rem Mag.. shit is a great long distance shooter. I need to get it out of storage and head back. Rounds are only $2-3 / ea

This is one of my faves too.. I can hit target at 100 yards.. but 400 yards
Fucking insane.. I have this AK.. no shoulder stock, short barrel.. seriously fucking nuts.. and he hit back to back.

The crazy thing is.. most shots are predictive. It really seems like fate.
A shift in wind, air debris / density, you change your pace, stop.. and the shot is a no go.
If I can hear a gun shot. I'm running like a motherfucker to the nearest barrier and then ducking the fuck out the remainder of the way.

There's a sniper story.. either SEAL team or SOG.. anyways.. they predicted these bad guy fucks would rest against a wall.
Hit that fuck with a uranium tipped 50 cal round. Blew a fucking hole through the wall.. something like +1000 yards.
They saw this huge (yuuuuge) blood splat against adjacent wall. Like front row of a Gallagher show or a Pollock painting.

Yeah.. that's what you're hearing.. the loud boom from a rifle is not just the powder. It's the bullet going supersonic.
