Well, I just blew a couple bucks on an action figure. That'll teach me to be sick and at home and have too much time on my hands...

Ah. I have only the vaguest memories of Voltron... And I couldn't tell you anything specific except Lion bots that became a big robot. And then I swear I had another Voltron thing that was cars and helicopters or something.
Actually, I have three foot lockers that my parents so graciously delivered to my house ("get this crap out of our attic") and I'm pretty sure those are in there.
Vintage and patina'd. (ie. broken AF).

The toys are fantastic and if you have no intention of keeping them, they may still fetch you a few bucks even if they have been well-loved...of course, the better condition they are, the more they are worth. A minty Voltron (Lionbot) can fetch you easily $1000+ on eBay.

I took a pellet gun and/or camping fluid to all my robots. Not gonna lie, it was a lot of fun.

Well.. It wasnt just robots. It was all toys besides Lego. I would never harm my precious Lego.

I mean, it's too bad but there was some solid Japanese toy engineering in those toys from your youth you torched.

We used to out fire crackers inside hot wheels... Or pour some camping fluid on the garage floor and send the hot wheels into the flames... Making real hot wheels
or pellet guns, or smoke bombs (home made, using fertilizer!), or whatever the hell else other stupid idea my brother and I could muster. Oh, I remember the one time with the glue gun and the vintage star wars action figures we had... That, coupled with the dremel to make quick surgery of them, and glue them randomly back together

I'm not overly nostalgic, yummy. I don't really collect much stuff and even if I do, I eventually get bored and get rid of it. Toys were toys. They served their purpose of entertaining me and once I started out growing them, well, I did what any child with psychopath tendencies would do. Though I must admit, I think most often it was spurred on by my brother. I blame him

And at which age did you consume your brother with a nice Chianti?

FWIW, I actually wish I was more like you...I am very much a sucker for material things. If I were BoostedJack-rich, I would have no problems forever entertaining myself with acquisitions of art, watches, toys, cars...
I make a bad Buddhist.

Well to be honest, I doubt any of my toys were valuable/precious, by any stretch. I mean, maybe these days they might catch a few bucks, but cmon, I wasn't going to hold on to well used toys (prior to being destroyed by us), just to make a few dollars, 25 years down the line.

My point is, the fact you do not have any nostalgia for these material things is a GOOD thing. You are not a slave to your wants. I was merely saying I'm quite the opposite...and I'm quite aware of what sucks about being that.
