thunder storm passed by pretty quickly..
predicted all day doom with chances of flooding at high levels, but it passed by quickly..
still gloomy outside...

I channeled my inner DeerMeat this weekend.
About a year ago, my neighbor offered me the old kids playhouse structure he had in his back yard. After much feet dragging and circumstances, he finally got fed up waiting for me to come over to get it and a couple months ago he took it down in pieces and told me to come get it whenever. Last week, I finally got around to bringing everything over to my yard.
This weekend was the real work. Made a trip to the lumber yard to get some boards to replace some rotted ones. Rebuilt part of the structure and reassembled it all by myself. There were a couple times I was sure I was going to crush myself to death, but escaped with only minor injuries.
The main structure is complete and I just need to anchor a slide and rejigger some mounting hardware for the little climbing wall ladder. Took all weekend and I managed to drag the remaining unusable parts to the curb for trash day this morning.
In the end, I'm not sure if it's easier or harder to put it up with partially assembled sections and no instructions, or fully disassemble with instructions. But whatever, now I have a place to hide out and drink beers.

My buddy bought a used playset.. fucking thing is massive and he has a dinky yard.
Anyways, fuck that noise. His kids barely play on it and he has 3.

Clubhouse/fort is for pot smoking and sneaking beers. Also, WagonJr might play in it eventually.
I give it 3 or 4 years and it comes down. The plus side is that I'll have a nice stack of cedar firewood for the chiminea. So that's good.
