My younger brother's Toyota Tacoma pickup (4 cyl) had 292,000 miles on it and he never used anything other than off-brand, cheap gas. He never had a fuel-related issue. Fifth gear synchronizer went out and it would cost more to fix the transmission than the truck was worth. He sold the truck and the guy took the engine out to use in another vehicle. The new engine owner is now using it and uses off-brand cheap gas. Does top tier gas make a difference? Perhaps. Will your engine last without it? I believe so.

Did the interview today, wasn't with the owner though, it was with the service manager again.... this time it was more service specific questions and scenarios. It went excellent. she said I should be getting a call within a week to see the owner... I think I'm going to get it, but theyre hard to read and I know they are still nervous about my education background and think I will just leave.. But today I reiterated this would not be the case, that I want to work here and i feel that the atmosphere there will make me happy, as opposed to sitting in some power plant reading a number off a screen lol..
Anyways, while I was waiting I was poking around the showroom, 2006 silver s2000 for sale... I mentioned it to the lady interviewing me and she said thats the owners car and he is selling it but said to me you should see his other s2k... I was like other one??
Brings me out to the shop, sitting on the lift was a wine red s2k with full carbon front and rear splitter, carbon mirrors, carbon spoiler, wide body kit, 275s in the rear
