I like the fairlady badge. Likely the only thing I'll switch out. Hopefully he bought the legit one and not a cheap knock off. I prefer actual names over random letters and numbers jammed together to make up a robotic name for a car.

I don't really care if people have vossens. I know little about them and I'm not about to start hating on people who strayed from the authentic brands. Honestly, I keep looking at authentic wheel brands, and the choice of styles is very limited. You end up looking like any other car with authentic wheels. I'm having a personal moral dilemma these days because I don't know what to do. Then again, I think I'm 98% set on the wheel's I'd want. The ones Spaceman hates.

I'm kind of surprised he took the LEDs out of the front bumper. He must hate safety

The door decals and hood? I'm guessing that's a carbon fiber hood? If so, the stock hood is made of aluminum. A carbon fibre hood from Seibon, or the likes, weighs the same. Unless it's dry carbon. I hope he found value in saving those 4 pounds. I thought F&F killed off door decals.

Yeah stupid door decals... Ricer fuck I'm not sure if it's a different hood or just raised hinges to fit a bigger intake manifold or something.... Apparently it's also Tuned by Stillen..

I used to think Stillen was pretty crazy, but reading into it some more, they don't get that much love on the 370 forum. Apparently there have been plenty of issues with their supercharger kit. The one good thing they make is the intake for the car. I don't know if that justifies putting 3 stickers on your car though. "Hey guys, who wants to rob me first? This is what I have under the hood!"

Tuned by Stillen... I don't think that's likely. Unless it was tuned at the Stillen shop, but if I'm not mistaken, I believe they rely on 3rd party tuning software and equipment, like everyone else.

What kind of power is he making, do you know? Is he running boost? I've come across many builds that use various intake manifolds (R35 manifold (expensive), then there's custom ones from AAM (expensive), Z1motorsports (very cheap), amongst others). I believe they're all made to fit with no modifications. The Z1 is cheap because it is an oem piece that has internal work done, for better and more flow. In this case, I think the raised hood is done for looks... I've seen 800hp builds that don't bump the hood up.

Spacers on the hood hinge is a (or at least used to be) a common 1st "mod" for the 240SX and AE86 super dorifto crashu crowd.

It gets more heat out of the engine bay when you're surper drifffffftting.

I mean, not really, but it's like a gang sign for a limp wrist gang.

I bet if you look at it, it's a stack of washers.

Fair enough, but it is generally two very different demographics driving each car. Budget mods on a 20-25 year old 240sx or ae86 is a bit more understandable (or am I coming off as a datsun dou$he now?). The 370 is known to have cooling issues... more related to oil temperatures though. Raising the hood won't help much with that. Adding an oil cooler is the normal way of keeping temperatures in check. That, or adding in an oil pan spacer has proven to work as well.

well, since my mom and I work at the same office, it's silly to drive 2 cars.
and she's like the logistics person/center so she's always doing errands for the company and its just easier to drive her car

I do drive the TL on days that she'll be out doing things after work.
and the weekends. although, i only drove it for a bout 15 mins this weekend going to the store. lol

Uhh... yeah. Totally different demographic.

Except that was 15-20 years ago.

I'm like 90% sure it's the same demographic, just generationally shifted.

But I know what you're trying to say.

The lifted hood is just the basic-bitch of $0 car mods. Even if it does nothing; it really sets off your roll call stickers and LED accent lights.

You're like the Bruce Willis to my Mr. Glass in Unbreakable.

I'd be 12 days the other side of warranty.

The alternator was fucckkkkked. It spun fine, but it was fucking roasted.
I'm going to take it in for core exchange..I'm sure they'll be able to rebuild it, but I definitely wouldn't.
I'd otherwise keep it and rebuild it.

Alternators are for pussies. Replace with hamster running in sealed wheel. Also: results in less parasitic power loss due to not having to spin the alternator. Tuner win fasho

Get an autozone battery.. they usually fail right when the warranty expires..
even if it goes over, which it has once (3-4 weeks after) since I've owned one, it's prorated.. ~$20.

Sir. I drive an Acura. It is a luxury vehicle and only the most luxurious of batteries will suit my vehicle. I replace the battery exclusively with OEM units, serviced and installed by the certified Acura dealership.
