I mean, I had originally took this as a joke...then, out of curiosity, I tried to hunt one down and it was virtually sold out...everywhere. Been looking for months.
Luck played a part in getting the bottles today.

I know Taco FOR SURE has...it's like almost a staple "cheap" liquor here in Canada. Pretty much mixed with coke most of the time because the standard Crown whiskey is disgusting. So, believe me, I'm still trying to get over how a CR is actually WotY by Jim Murray...but, if I can get past my WTFing...this $40 bottle really isn't bad at all. And it's a shock because, it's...CROWN ROYAL.
Again, Taco would know what I mean about Crown Royal.
Anyways...happy I have finally tasted it after hearing all the hype and press up here.

That's what I was wondering. I looked at the online inventory of the local liquor store and they show it for aboot the same price as Yummy got it ($30.xx USD). I might go see if it comes in a smaller bottle that I won't need to commit too much to.

That's the conspiracy theory...Jim Murray's whiskey bible is released annually...he last set off a storm when he awarded Yamazaki's 2013 Sherry Cask as the WotY...I can't get one unless I want to give up 1 mortgage payment. Insanity.
