Do any of you have experience with curved TVs? Is it worth it?

I'm considering a new tv in the next few months and there's a pair of Samsung's I'm interested in- the UN65MU8500 vs the UN65MU8000. They're the same tv, just one is curved and the other isn't. Is it worth spending the $200 extra for it? Or is it just some bullshit marketing gimmick that will die much like 3Dtv?

my receiver shit the bed the other day. HDMI ports just seemed to stop working altogether. I really don't feel like trouble shooting and attempting to repair. I will replace the receiver first, (already have one in mind- will likely grab it soon), then my TV. It might be worth for me to see what happens with prices for OLED TVs. It might be worth holding out for a bit.
