Was driving down to San Diego (near Temecula) on the 15 south. This WDP Base TL was zooming through traffic then spots me and does a VTEC fly by a couple times...there's a good amount of traffic....

I let traffic clear up and he's just following me and we run a couple (I have a 5AT Type S w/ RV6 Jpipe, rest are aesthetic mods).

Not sure if he's auto or manual, but sounded auto. Seems like he only had an intake.

We were dead even from 65mph to 90, once I had to shift to 4th, he just pulled on me.

I think he might be manual....because once I shift into 4th he just walks me.

If he was auto, then he's definitely not stock. Looked like stock exhaust.

Or...my engine is just wrecked.

I like the M4, but I prefer the RC-F. I know the M4 is the better driver's car, but the rarity of the RC-F really appeals to me, along with Lexus reliability and overall, I think it's just a bit sexier (yes, I know, opinions).

the RC-F's predecessor is the IS-F with the 4 hunned something hp engine.

I dont think they upgraded the engine on this new one, they just carried it over from the IS-F.

but as mentioned, probably took some LFA tech, ie; the cf roof and trunk lid, etc.

 

Two breaux's at work just got matching white M4s with vanity plates. I talked to one of the guys and he said he was going to get a 435 but they were out, had an M4 so said fuck it.

They said they redid the engine. It's based of the same 5.0. Just optimized / tweaked. I don't think it's really a step above. It's not like when Infiniti redid the VQ. That was a definite leap above the previous VQ.
