The new SHO is supposed to have decent aftermarket support too, right? My dad used to have a '91 5MT a longgggg time ago and I loved it. If the new Taurus wasn't so huge, I'd consider looking into a SHO for the next ride.

holy crapp.. 55 inch 4K for 1200 bucks plus 400 dell eGift card?!? Sounds like a damn steal..
Looking to get one for the 'rents once their house is completed.. I know Maj likes Sony's but I think an XBR is a bit out of the budget.. I've had a few Samsungs and they have been good to me thus far..

Spaceman, you would have been in paradise this weekend if you worked with me. It's a bit of a story on how he's setup, but suffice to say he likely will end up with 25 lbs once everything is finished drying in 7-10 days.

He's got another garden ready next weekend. And another the weekend after.

I heard the new J series (2015 models) took a hit in quality..

Plus it's 60Hz.. pass. The pixel density to refresh rate don't mix.

Everyone who knows about TVs always talks specs and what works and what doesn't. And yet, unless two TVs are side by side, I can never tell the difference.

Assuming identical size, the difference between a $1500 TV and a $2500 TV isn't always that apparent to me. Side by side, yes, there is a difference. Standing alone, they both look great!

We purchased a pricey TV for our living room about three years ago. Last year we bought a new el-cheapo TV for our bedroom. Can't tell the difference

on a wall of led/lcd...there was one plasma that we could see from the counter where we were waiting for a salesperson...the technology was headed out, but the pricing reflected that so we jumped on it.
Love it...sometimes the LED's can look a little surreal even.

Crappy J series ehh..? Acura engineers must have been consulted

Also.. did not notice 60Hz refresh rate... guess you do get what you pay for.

That's because when you're in the bedroom, you should be focusing on the wife, not the TV

LED surreal: definitely experienced it when I first got my Samsung. Then I found some stupid thing called "Auto Motion Plus" and turned it off.. NO MORE! https://www.google.com/search?q=moti...sm=93&ie=UTF-8

She focuses on my D, while I focus on Sportsnet. Makes me last longer.

He tried doing hydro on two different occasions... And failed miserably. Lost about 60k in profit on those two harvests.

He always says he has a knew found respect for people who can pull off a good hydro job. I think what killed him was the water temperatures. Everything would be going good for 8 weeks and then bam, AC unit fails, and everything is fucked. He's had several AC units shit the bed over time, but it's apparently much easier to recover from with potted plants as opposed to hydro. There's no going back with hydro.

I had a small setup for myself only in the past while I still lived at my parents under the staircase and with proper handling it didn't smell at all. It was pretty well contained in that respect. The issue was with when it was time to dry it, then I had to use a friend's garage second story.

J series isn't crappy.. only crappy owners.. one of the best engines ever designed. No joke.
Regarding the TV, check out RTINGS for the DL.. love that site.
