I love them on paper....but I still think all the new mustangs are ugly af.
The bulbous front end with curves all over. The ugly heads. The whack oval shape that spans the entire rear trunk. I do like the tails though. Like the front splitters. And would certainly take one over a Camaro.
I know all the muscle has been winning over hearts of everyone but I still do not like the design languages. If I had to pick one for form...Challenger. For function, Mustang.
I always thought the mustang was cool.. well.. after like 2005 or whenever they brought the retro look back. But had zero interest in a car that can just go fast in a straight line. There's no fun in that. But these new ones... man...
there isn't that much difference between the 350 and the 350R. The only difference is the rear seat delete and of course, the carbon fibre wheels on the R. As nice and crazy as the carbon wheels are, I wouldn't dare use them for DD purposes. You'd be cray cray to do so.
Actually, another car I like is the 2015 370Z Nismo. I like the pearly white with red accents. 350hp.. nothing crazy, but I'm sure it would be great for flogging around town. People seem to hate the new Z cars, but I like them.
Love the way they sound but could never get over the heads/tails.
I guess the lights literally make or break cars for me. That's why I loved the Prelude. That's why I loved JDM Tegs. That's why I love the 3G. That's why I love MOST of the Audi line.
Speaking of...still on the weekend car thing... S2000 or 135i convertible?
Y'all doing anything fun this weekend? It's supposed to be nice and sunny here and hot, to boot. Looking forward to it. Not much planned, save for getting my deck done and maybe start on the fence.
Personally, s2000 all the way. Top down cruising is something special, plus, reliability is a very big thing for me. I don't particularly care about having the fastest car, as long as it's fun to drive.
Can you fit in an s2000? I can't. Not comfortably, anyway. I've never sat in a 135, but I remember being at a launch for it when it came out at a local bmw dealership and couldn't believe how tiny it was on the inside. Didn't even bother getting in because of that.
I LIKE BWMs... but there's something about their looks that doesn't do it for me. Same with Porsches. I think it's the basic design language (kidney grills, or P car shape, etc) that they keep for all of their cars that eventually just got tiring for me.
I'm going to start refinishing our dining room table. Had to wait forever for all the strippers/stains to come in.
Broyhill Brasilia circa 1962!
This one won't require near the work that I did for our previous table that I made into my computer desk. No gouges or anything. Notice the hard wear on just one side only? Lol. I just need to remove the finish and apply a new one. Going to take it a shade or two darker than stock though.
Then, weather permitting, auto-cross Sunday! I was going to like triple wax the TL first but since it's suppose to be wet...fuck it.
I was in the ultimate S2k before. It didn't feel right to me. I felt like I was to crammed. I'm only 5'11.
well.. it's supposed to be small. no unnecessary extra weight, ya know? Just the bare basics you need. There was days I preferred taking the TL over the Miata, just because of the comfort, but overall, I like sitting in a small metal box.
I can DIY the 135. Bestie knows them inside and out and they've got a big modding community too. S2000 is way sexier but damn they're pricier really...
Plus reliability isn't TOO much of an issue with a third car. Lol
