Serious hat for a second. Going to the stealership later to get some rust looked at on my car, what kind of price should I be expecting?
its about the size of about 1.5 quarters. nothing serious, just don't want it to get worse.

I was referencing a thread by some youngster (I think) asking how he could make his new 04 TL drive better, etc. He speaks in cryptic lingo though and is very vague. Like I told J...really can't think of a car I'd rather have right now, that I can afford, than the 335.

That's the equivalent of humans getting cancer. Even if fixed, it'll come back. Ask me how I know. I had a civic fixed twice in the same spot (well, once when my brother owned the car, and once when I owned it).
If you're adamant on keeping the car, DO NOT cheap out on the repair. Around here, pretty much no body shop will warranty rust repairs. I'm not saying it can't be done, but it's not as simple as grinding it down, slapping a bit of bondo on and painting it.

That's not bad. People don't realize what it takes to do good body work, plus, the shop has to make money on top of it all.
But think, fix the plastic (i don't even know what the issue is), reaping bumper and blend the paint properly (you can't just open a can of paint and spray away... You'll have terrible color differences), plus removal, reinstallation, potentially replace miscellaneous clips (they're fucking expensive), plus the hours of labor, etc, etc. it adds up real quick.

Take it to a couple shops for an estimate. See what they are doing. What they are charging. Don't necessarily go with the cheapest. Also, ask to see their shop. See if their paint booth is clean. It should be spotless and very well illuminated. Don't settle!!

Um, that's what credit cards and 21% interest is for.
But even so, what were you planning to mod on such a limited budget?
