You see, that's the loophole, if you look stoned, smell like weed or will set off a pot sniffing shepard, spread 'em. They can claim any of the above, even make a false positive indication like that dog search, giving them the right to search.
If you're trying to get past the police carrying some weight, be respectful, look respectful. Compliant but don't agree to search. If you get caught, just don't get any more charges added and don't say anything to them. Lawyer up.
My bro was carrying some big weight on him. Police walked right past him in the hallway at his sisters flat in the Bronx. They looked at him and asked him where he was going / coming from. He said my sister's apt. Then they went on their way (looking for a guy that just ran from them). At that point he said fuck this shit, focused on music and studies (became an engineer), but ended up playing music for a living. He smokes (rasta mon) but doesn't carry bricks anymore.

Sup Y'all!?
I missed this post yesterday but I have similar views, Maj. I started working for the company I work for 16 years ago so I've had the fear of random tests since 1998. I also had many experiences where if I'd had anything on me, I'd have been nervous and scared...as a rule, I like to not have anything to hide, drugs, lies, cheating. My ADD would give me away anyway since I'd forget what I've said or where I've hidden stuff.

Okay boys...I need your solid and serious opinion. Guy I bought my S from has a friend that is local to me willing to buy the discontinued OEM hard top from me for $3K today. Since I bought and reinstalled the soft top, I have not put the hard top back on (haven't really driven ANYWHERE with it UP even).
If I want a normal car feel or it's raining, I have the TL...other than that, I have the top on a stand in the garage under a blanket...I justify keeping it because I told myself that in the Florida summer when it's raining every day, I'll put it back on, but even then, normally it's sunny in the mornings and I'd go convertible on the way to work. So, other thing is the looks...looks like a little viper.
That said, I have the opportunity to basically get 15% of the money I spent on the car back in my pocket bringing my future sale pricepoint to break even to a much more reasonable and kbb aligned amount (since they don't factor in a hard top price in the estimated pricing guide).
What are your personal thoughts? I'm leaning toward doing it...I'm not one of the s2kcoupe club guys...i'm more like a top always down guy.
for reference

Smokey, go to the store and pick me up some cigarettes

Personally.. hard top > soft top as aesthetics go.
I don't know the S market, but if hard tops are hard to come by + pricey. I'd hold on to it.

Well, it's the OEM specific ones that are discontinued. I guess I'm motivated by the fact that the guy has cash in hand, don't have to list it or anything and he's local. Then again, I can always sell it later if I decide to. I don't like being pushed into making a quick decision.

Does it have a vin on it that matches your S?

No sir, the guy I bought it from had to drive like 18 hours to go pick it up.

I'd sell it. Why does it matter if you have a soft or hard top for when it's raining? It doesn't leak, right? Just leave it up.
You haven't used it since you installed the soft top, it's taking up a rather big space in your garage, guaranteed, you'll miss being able to put the top down as soon as you install the hard top again.
Also, $3000 in CASH.
Okay, I'm out.

I hate having shit around that I don't use. I would sell it. Yeah, it looks better than the soft top, but if you aren't using it then that really doesn't matter, does it? #floridaproblems
