I think my husband's TL is cursed. Inspection is already over due, and when he went to do it last week, the check engine light came on along the way. That's a fail. So he tries to get there again today, even leaves work early, stops to get some gas ab a block away from the inspection station, and bam! Now the car wont start! SMH! keep in mind we just installed a new starter and battery a couple of months ago, and just replaced the spark plugs and coil packs last week.

This is def a jinxing if I have ever seen one lol

Check the codes. If it was idling rough at all it could just be a dirty EGR. Some threads here about that; it can cause it not to start. Happened to me!

He got it started, turns out that it was just the wire going to the battery loosened up, but I didn't know that until after getting an irate phone call and calling AAA since he didn't have any tools on him. Wasn't a biggie but ended up missing the inspection since the place was closed by then LOL.

We checked the codes, it said that a couple of the cylinders were misfiring, but thanks for the advice!

My negative cable loosened up on me last week. Had to tighten it up as much as possible with a leatherman to get it started.

This was the positive, but sucks none the less lol.

Does your leatherman come in handy often? I'm thinking maybe I should get him one for father's day.

Constantly!!! I have one in each car, one in my desk at work, and I keep one on me when I have to get on one of the big trucks at work. I can't tell you how many pinches they have gotten me out of.

^^^he even keeps one in the bathroom in case he runs out of toilet paper...you'd be surprised how absorbent that metal nail file can be in a pinch.

Seriously though, Alyy...splurge on a good model. He'll thank you for it later. It at least has the basics to help you in a pickle. I have one too...was a gift for being he best man at a wedding. Loose battery cable, that works...easy. The misfires...that's just the car letting you know it didn't like you swapping all the coil packs etc...this engine and especially ECU is super sensitive to changes in exhaust and spark.

Wacker. You told me that story. Sorry if I remembered the wrong tool on the leatherman. Please correct me.

Justin, I have a dipstick for you if interested. Free, too.

Miss Ali G, hi! Still in for pics. Yeah, my car has bugged the fk out...misfire cylinder 1, 4, 8, 100 and misfire all. WTF, then cleared on it's own and never came back.

Sorry if I made that sound like a question. The fact that you don't want it and I'll have to just GIVE IT TO YOU makes it that much more appealing to me.

Can't wait to meet in person.

the person probably won't want to remove it from the car...thinking it adds more to the value or they don't want to deal with debadging.

I think you guise misunderstood what Gatr was doing. He saw a car for sale with an aspec badge. He then contacted seller of said car to purchase the badge for $50 off of them. He was then going to turn around and sell the badge for $150.

Chaos ensued...

I cannot wait for spring break to be over. The weather has been so crappy all week we are practically trapped indoors as I dread anyone getting sick.

I am so bored I just caught myself facebook stalking. Found an old high school boyfriend, then started clicking around to old HS friends who I really have no interest in contacting but find it interesting to see how their lives panned out. How stalkerish is that?!? LOL
