Thanks boys...I have 5K buffer, but I will likely attempt this myself. After rereading Maj's thread, and watching some youtube links.
In addition, I have a set of feeler gauges and the valve nut adjustment tool. I will do a valve adjustment while I'm at it since I need to pull the valve covers anyway. I've had a slow weeping of oil from them for the last 30K miles or so (possibly from putting in too much oil?...used to do all 5 quarts instead of 4.5)
I plan to get started after work on a Friday and will make sure I have a clear agenda for the entire weekend. The Crank Pulley has already been broken free and swapped to a Lightweight one, so I'm not too worried about that. Have Betty hold brakes and loosen.
Worst case, I'll fly Justin out to supervise me too.![rofl](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/rofl.gif)
I'll order the $133 one...I'll report back if it ends up being the Aisin pump, but I'd venture to guess it is. I plan to do the vaseline or maybe a dab of the blue gasket maker to use in addition and to hold the ring in place.
Thanks for all the answers and for placating me by responding to my moronic question.
![Doh](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/doh.gif)
All OEM pumps have a recessed lip. OEM Aisin pumps have tabs that hold the o-ring in place for installation. There is no issue with pumps that don't have o-ring tabs. You just have to be careful installing them to not bump the o-ring out of place. You can put a dab of vaseline around parts of the lip to help keep it static.
If the o-ring were installed incorrectly, you'd know pretty quick once everything is up and running.

Bought my 105k kit for $135 shipped a few weeks ago. Keep in mind the water pump that comes with this kit doesn't have the recessed lip to hold the seal in place, so you or your mechanic has to be careful it's placed correctly when installing.
Amazon.com: Gates TCKWP329 Engine Timing Belt Kit with Water Pump: Automotive
There is a still a bunch of other stuff you should get along with this too though.
Cam seals
Front main seal
Coolan
Thermostat
Valve cover gaskets and spark plug seals
Vtec solenoid seal?
Maybe the above isn't necessary, but I got it as preventative maintenance and so I would feel better.

Nice, I have that one and this one:

on my Wish List.
Which one should I lean towards?

Majofo, unfortunately when I asked the dealership if the parts they provided had Gates belt, they said no....
Jeremy, thats your head gasket leaking....even if you put 5.5 qts, the gasket shouldnt leak....the springs/retainers have very little oil, most of the oil is further down at the crank/rods/piston....
you can actually open the oil filler cap when the car is running and see the very little amount of oil which lubricates the springs/rocker arms....I would suggest getting a gasket kit from Honda as well....

Thanks, man.
I trust Fel-pro though.
And Gates isn't OEM? I thought it was...I think I don't mind trusting that kit. I'm about to pull the trigger.
It's DEFINITELY the valve covers that are leaking, mainly around the grommet that sits under the bolts that hold it down but there's a little weeping around the entire front valve cover gasket. Can't see the rear too well...

^^^ thats what my dealer said....and this was back in 2010...I bet they were trying to cut corners....thats why I supplied all the parts....but I did go with the gates belt....
about the head gasket....when you put the gasket back in, put it in place (in the covers) and the dip your finger in some new oil (take some oil out in a bowl) and apply it to the gasket....just oil it up....
I did the same with the bolts which hold the head covers....since they have some kind of rubber seal, apply some oil to them....this will prevent them from cracking and leaking....

Austin, or anyone with photography skills..
I took a pic of my car in the middle of a main street the other night but all the street lights makes it look pretty shitty because it's that yellow/amber light reflecting everywhere. Is there a way to edit that out? or do I need some crazy camera/program to do that?

Make sure the image isn't HUGE. If possible, make it something like 1024x768 or something.

I did too. It was a bad link SirSwag posted. Trying to help him resolve it and you had to make another one.

It won't be installed for 90-120 days. ![Frown](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
We have a single T1 for data right now. 1.5Mbps both ways.
The new FO will be 10.

Couldn't open the other ramblings on my phone. But here are the pics:

Rushed the first one, I don't like the angle so next time I want to make it look similar to the second one. But yeah I'm not really liking the amber, so I was hoping to find a way to make it cleaner. Keep in mind this was an iPhone 4S camera
