Friday! United Way car wash at work...couple hours of hard work generated $300 for the last couple of years so they asked me to do it again. Good cause and we all know I don't mind washing a vehicle :thumbsupbutt:

So I bought some 18x9 +35 rims with 245/40/18 tires 
yes, they are lightweight...the tire choice is not what I would have gone for, but well the price was right
and the best part....civicdrvr is helping me with the purchase

but yes +35 is more poke than +45....
if you meant about tires, the 245 tires and +35 offset are 15mm poke from stock 235 tires and +45 offset....so it should clear....I got the +35 since, if I plan on running 255 tires in the future, I can without much rubbing....

It should. I have the same size wheels but they're +30 and my tires are 235.

but yeah mega props to Matt, Meko, Tyler, Morgan, Jeremy and our beloved twerkin' John...convinced me not to get 17's....ended up with 18's and with the tires I want, I should be right at 38-39lbs/corner....

That's awesome man. I'm glad you did go with 18's. Yeah they're slightly heavier but I know you care about looks too and I think 18's are the perfect middle-ground for you.

Swoosh, without spacers, what do you think that the beefiest tire you could go on stock type-s rims would be with fenders rolled? Come my next set of tires, I'm going to jump up from my 255s to either 265s or 275s.

actually some 18" tires I want were either the same weight or actually a lb lighter...so it comes to exactly the same weight

Justin, I think 265/275 is a waste unless you pushing down like 350whp....its just added weight....i know you are putting down 300+whp and I suggest 255/40/17 tires....this will poke 10mm as compared to OEM 235/45/17 tires on OEM wheels....

Only reason I'm looking to go bigger is because I peel tires first through second and it will flush me out more.
I'm on 255 nitto motivos right now. They are an all season so perhaps a 255 performance tire would provide more traction.
