the fact that he snipped the wires to that connector at the base like that tells me he was keeping enough slack in mind and he's already wired a new one in but this time
used something sturdier than a tie wrap to hold it together along with di-electric grease to keep moisture and eventual arcing out.

Shit J.. don't try to act like the owner of the store

Yeah, gave it the ol, snip snip and just connected the wires with some waterproof (dielectric filled) wire nuts. Supposed to be good for outdoor wet / humid use up to 600 Volts. Gave it an excessive and superfluous overwrap of electrical tape and then triple ziptied it in place.
I think enough slack is now taken out from the repair that it won't sag far enough again if it comes loose. But it also shouldn't come loose in the foreseeable future either. Certainly not before I get the whole HVAC replaced since it's getting on in years.
But if I die in a fire, please erase my browser history and make sure the beers get dranken.

You're handy around the house.
Glad to see you're trying not to let your house burn down. You know a lot of people would not care enough and let it burn, especially if they have insurance.
If you do die in a fire we'll clear your browser after trying out the links on those dirty sites and drink your beer. Well, the other guys. I don't drink, I'm crazy enough as is.
Enjoy the handy-ness of electrical knowledge.
Sorry, I'm exhausted. :Facebook:

I don't think I know one person that would knowingly let their house burn down due to lack of addressing an electrical arc figuring that
an insurance claim and rebuilding their lives would be an easier solution.
Better get that lotion on the skin MM, otherwise it won't fit you.

So, I've joked in the past about how a good house fire would certainly simplify my life... Like, I wouldn't need to sort through a whole room of boxes that I haven't unpacked from multiple moves... and all these kid toys scattered about would cease to be an offensive front to my feet in the dark. Oh, and the carpet would get cleaner, dishes would be "done", etc.
But in reality, having to live in a hotel for months on end, swimming in a heated pool, getting breakfast every morning and a managers reception 4 days a week, argh, that'd be terrible.

Sheiit... MM saying that he's gonna "log on Facebook" really takes on new meaning if you think that he's defecating on the cover of his binder full of skinned heads.
Run Crabman, RUN! You're the next "friend request" on MM's Face Book.

Don't underestimate MM's ambition to wear your skin
Chapter Leader (Southern Region)
Which side of the skin do you think MM wears it..
skin out.. or flesh out?
I'm going to say flesh out, because he wants to feel the skin.

DeWalt is cool - in fact I might buy those batteries. But I was talking about the skin-wearing shit.
