The 3G Ramblings & General Discussion Thread (Man Sex FFS)
If it does, that’s okay. But I think I can get it faster than 12.3s in the 1/4mile.
If I can reach 485whp on a stock block, I can get close to that time. When I build the engine, I don’t think that car has a chance. 600whp is power that the M5 can’t keep up with.
Thoiboi, how’s the interview prep going?

If you can run a 12.3 or better in the 1/4, that's awesome, but you'll still need a higher trap speed to achieve that since you don't have the traction that a RWD platform has off the line.
Secondly, 485whp on the stock block should be attainable, but I'd be more curious about what the transmission, axles, and mounts can handle, and that's not even accounting for what the suspension is set up for. The only redeeming factor of those kits is that there isn't a massive torque spike, so wheel spin should be manageable. That also means power is going to be shifted very high in the powerband - so you may make more peak power then an M5, but when you account for gearing and redline, the M5 is enjoying that power for more time in each gear.
Third - and I mean no disrespect to Andy - but I've seen him market these kits as 500, 600, and even 900hp (???) capable - where are the dyno sheets? Where are these cars? His UA9 makes 500whp (at the top of the powerband). Countless others are making mid-400s with built blocks on e85. Rewind to the mid-2000s, stock J32A2s in the CL-S were making mid-400whp with a single turbo setup at 7psi with nothing more than an emanage blue and pump gas.
My apologies to the mods for going off-topic

Not sure where you got 900hp from, but I have not seen this number marketed. His TypeS made 630whp with the kit I purchased. He has many customer dynosheets to prove these PowerPoints with each setup.
Apologies for going off topic
He had posted a while ago that he was working with a new Rotrex unit that was capable of something around 950 crank hp. The dyno sheets I've seen (granted, I don't pay close attention to the J series anymore) were all in the mid-300 to mid-400hp range, with his 4G being at the top with 500whp. If I'm overlooking others, please let me know.

The 3G is at 634whp at 15psi with the same C38-92 (which i've been using since day one) and I will be going for 800whp with the C38R.

The 4G is at 410whp on 93 octane at 6psi stock engine and 500whp at 8psi on e85 for now until I get a larger fuel system and go for 550whp at the same boost pressure.

Yumcha must be a damn stud without his shirt on.
I never get to see if cause we're all snuggled in a tight little sleeping bag. Although not a lot of sleeping going on.
