I've learned to not go there. Hell, keep it in the freezer for all I care. I'll just judge from over here with my neat drink.

If it's a cheaper bottle and even ones you'd use for mixing, go for it...add the entire bag of ice. But, for effs sakes, do NOT ruin an 21 YO bottle or whatever with ice...it mutes the flavors, affects your tongue, and dilutes the drink too much.
Anyways. Sipping some Nikka 12 right now.

Nikka 12 YO, sir. It'll set you back about $150ish CAD but you should be able to track one down. The bottle is GORGEOUS too.

And blended eh? Hmmm... I’ll have to take your word for it. Though I’d maybe like to try a single malt Japanese scotch first, before diving into blends.

But, if you want just scotch, I think you can't go wrong with a Glenfarclas 17 or an Old Pulteney 17...both aren't SUPER expensive and delightful SMs.

SM Japanese? The Kurayoshi Pure Malt is pretty good and in a gorgeous bottle...just a touch over $100 I think. Give that a go.
