Well it's for a product I am considering marketing for the TL. So they'd essentially be beta testing. I want to see what kind of effects the product has on driveability and tracking so I need a larger sample size than just myself. I don't want to sell something not knowing what the "side effects" are.
I haven't forgotten about you! I'll contact you soon once I get the final. You prefer here or on IG?
Whoa... That's too good a deal to pass up.
I'm gonna need uh... evidence it's been tested. Thorough evidence.
Yeah my initial thought was "charge full price". Then wait till they publish their real world testing/review and then I refund the difference and give it to them at cost. Especially since there's a semi-permanent modification that needs to be done. But I wasn't sure what companies or people usually do for product testing.

If someone approaches me out if the blue to do something like that, I'd generally accept a product gratis for an honest review. If I approached a company to buy something and they wanted a review, I'd think that a discount or at-cost price would be very welcomed.
It seems odd for a company to cold call and offer a discount on a product for a review; seems a little scammy to me, like the ol' "boss bought too many" speakers off the back of a truck deal.
Depends on the market though, for low-ish dollar bulk/commodity items, I'd say free makes sense. But for expensive boutique/premium products, then cost make sense. Basically, discounted to whatever price point means you're breaking even on the product and getting an honest review; not paying for the review.

On here is better than IG. Currently building four entire M90 S/C kits with no idea if anyone will buy them or if I want to sell them. It’s whatever deal you want it to be.
These projects aren’t cheap, but to have done something tangible to further the 3G community is more than the armchair mechanics in Ramblings have done in a decade. Keep up the good work!

Everyone ready to bow and take insults from China in the coming years? Celebrate “Our versions” of Chinese holidays? Glad Pops and Brother saw this coming years ago and married Chinese to get a leg up!

That's fucked up. Need to go back to the Audi dealer with a flat head screwdriver and pop some badges to make up for it.

This stupid forum convinced me to spend an extra $50 on the OEM window visors. While simultaneously convincing me that even though I bought OEM I’m still vatozone status. Thanks dip shits

I've got some OEM window visors... Sitting in the box in my garage. I don't even really want them, but figure that in 10 years, someone will, and I will be able to make *literally* tens of dollars by selling them. #FuckinGetRichSlowAndDieTrying

@Midnight Mystery How are your knees fairing?
Thanks for asking.
So far, so good.
I was able to climb 3 rungs up a ladder today to remove, clean, and replace a vent. Only thing is I'm nervous and unstable standing without my hands gripping the ladder.

It was snowing over in DC today, now I gotta pour some warm water over the car cover I'm using to conceal my lack of tags LOL
