Shit. I need to do the same thing with my door.

Replaced the whole door a few years back and went with a fiberglass/synthetic jobber so that wouldn't happen. Which is mostly true except for the gawtdamn door frame which is still wood and only made it about a year before rotting out again. Because it's like 200% humidity all the damn time.

thought i was going to see rot on the frame of the house, surprisingly has held up for over 30 years.

yeah, I thought about buying the PVC/fiberglass stuff.... but didnt know my abilities, thought i'd try my hand with a small section.
Would love a miter saw for christmas, now that I know I can do this type of stuff

Now to do the other side.

it'll be a lot easier now that I know how to do it and I dont have to mess with a door hinge.

For our projects we always use 3'0 x 7'0 solid core pre-finished oak wood doors and they are a pain in the ass to hold in place while installing the hinges to the door jam. The quality is superior.

I only use hollow core doors so that I can feel badass when I get pissed off and punch through it.

Punching one of those oak doors fuckin' hurts.

Thank you! Next time i'm at home depot, i'll pick it up and try it out. Doors and frames are on order and should be in late next week. Have a few things that need to be completed prior to doors being hung (painting and suspended ceiling inspected and completed).

That's like the warmup for beating the family. They hear one of the doors split and they know that they need to start hauling ass because the whoopin' tornado is coming for them.
