It also might be important to mention that a sniff of the dipstick,
prior to the redline being added, gave off a burnt odor.

Go DW1.. or 3 QTs of DW1, 1 QT D4.
THE OPTIMAL PERCENTAGE OF RACING ATF IS 65%.
To obtain the optimal percentage, please follow one of the procedures below that best fits your current situation.
For anyone that is beginning to use Racing ATF for the first time
Refill #1 = 3 quarts Racing ATF
Refill #2 = 3 quarts Racing ATF
Refill #3 = 2 quarts Racing ATF + 1 quart D4
The above will produce a 65% Racing mixture.

I'm sitting on 7 quarts of D4 right now, and was planning on doing my 2x3 this weekend. I guess I'll do my 3x3 also, to get more of what I'm running now out of my trans.
On a side note does anyone have an ANNOYING squeal from their brakes? Mine has been getting progressively worse since the day I picked her up. Supposedly "from carfax" the dealer changed the brake pads prior to me purchasing the car so I am thinking they put shitty pads on and didn't resurface the rotors.
Since I am broke as shit ATM I will be de-badging the rear, cleaning and possibly waxing mine this weekend. Next weekend she gets the recall performed.

might be the end of the life for that pad.
take them off and inspect them

Awww, I'm doing the wife's this weekend. Maybe we can do them on the same day and then look up at the moon at the same time and it will go by faster

To ghey?
Either way sounds like they need a swap
LW Type F has a very low visc at 40 and avg VI.. so get the optimum mix right if you decide to use it.
except that thread says....
which is what I was on my way to doing after my first drain and fill. I just decided to use D4 for the 2nd and 3rd drain and fill.

D4 is good.. keep 3 or 4 QTs.. sell the rest. Buy DW-1.
2x3, 3x3??

Drain, Fill DW-1, drive
Drain, Fill DW-1, drive
Drain, Fill DW-1, drive
Drain, Fill D4, drive
This will leave you with a high percentage of D4.. if you want to play it safe but still use D4... do this:
Drain, Fill DW-1, drive
Drain, Fill DW-1, drive
Drain, Fill D4, drive
Drain, Fill DW-1, drive
Actually.. if you want to keep the D4.. use them in the first two changes.. then use DW-1.

I know.
