Hey all.

I posted a thread in the ramblings but figured I'd ask here too.

I am going to pickup a Tomos Moped today with 2700 miles for 500$. Think its a good deal? I believe its less than 5 years old and the guy says it runs good. I know nothing about mopeds except how to ride them so any info on what to look out for would be nice

EDIT: More info on the NBP with green/yellow wheels!

has nothing to do with being manly...or maybe it does?

if you're gonna ride something with two wheels and motor...might as well get a real bike (motorcycle). plus those stupid little things go so damn slow they hold up traffic!!

You have issues.. Remind me to honk at you when you're riding your bicycle on the road.

Haha. It depends. I kind of just bought it as a toy and I won't be riding it in traffic. A lot of people are stupid and ride them on roads where the speed limit is higher than the moped can actually go..Which is like 40-45mph. I live off of Little River/236 and will mostly be riding it on that road where its generally 35-40mph so its whatever lol. Plus everyone and their mother in Europe uses mopeds because of the price of fuel/parking/etc. I saw a lot of it this past summer in Germany (Frankfurt, Berlin, Hamburg) and in Amsterdam () I'll be getting a bike when I can justify the extra cost of insurance since I'm in school now

Haha. Yeah I've been a few times. It generally gets kind of ridiculous. Too many douchebags driving BMW's they dont own, Ed hardy t-shirts, enormous sunglasses, 8lbs of gel fauxhawks and such...not my taste. There's plenty of girls though hahaha. And its mostly Kabuli people whereas I'm from Kandahar and you know how that goes lol

hahaha I'm really 21.

Its actually kind of ridiculous. Its a tournament between 3-4 soccer teams from California, NY and VA. Afghans come from all over the country and Toronto..but don't ask me why cause I think its lame lol

ha ha ha...more than you know. now would you be honking at me out of aggression (which is usually the case with most of the peeps around here) or b/c i have a nice butt??? seriously, please dont' be one of those driver's that buzzes cyclists for giggles. its a dangerous game and its not funny. we get the shithead redneck that does this to us every summer. we're riding single file (there are only two of us) and as far over onto the right side of the road as possible minding our own business.

i dont' ride my bicycle in urban settings. i'm crazy but not stupid. its not worth it with the amount of people who are driving distracted in my area. only ride out where there are few cars in the rural outskirts of our area.

Your tutti frutti booty of course. Some fuck in a Jeep tried to run me over a few years back. He honked and swerved at me (I was riding against traffic). I raced after his ass to shove my bike seat through his skull. Fucking asshole. I would have probably killed that guy in the moment to be honest. Stay safe out there.. plenty crazies like Justn racing around.

This weekend was the start of SXSW in Austin.
South By South West is film/music festival that happens every spring in Austin.

I got together with people from Google+ to have a "Hangout In Real Life"
Some of these people traveled across the country to come hang out in Austin.
it was definitely fun to meet these strangers.

Google had set up an open bar for us "HIRL"ers.

I had a lot of fun and without knowing these people I didnt know if I was going to get butt raped or not. Especially since we stayed at a host home.
I might go next weekend to catch the end of the festival.

One employee was found sleeping in his office by a corporate member, so he was fired. His brother-in-law or something (not sure how they are related) got in my face about it and when I tried pushing him off of me he punched me in the face and walked out.
