I feel you on the j-pipe dude, I have my heart set on RV6's in the future but I still need to do my research on them.

 

I know nothing about exhausts and the likes. I am a car n00b. So many things people have done on here that I like..

 

i love my rv-6 v3 j pipe.... eventially will be doing the rv-6 v3 hfpc and true dual exhaust. Cant wait until after this wedding!!

let me redeem myself... the richie v3 jpipe takes the place of the jpipe and 3rd cat. there will no longer be a third cat as the v3 is a long tube design

ive never had my car dyno'd but my butt dyno tells me that it definitely makes more power. from my understanding, it frees up horsepower by making the exhaust gas flow easier. Also, it gives the car a throatier sound because the 3rd cat is gone. if any of that is wrong Austin or anyone else, correct me haha

From what I've been reading it seems RV6's has more gains in the higher RPM's and XLR8's has more low end power gains. I could have those mixed up though, vise versa.

 

and the clearance, from what i read, is better for lowered cars for the rv-6 jpipe vs xlr8 or others.

 

So it's for the horsey power. Gotcha. I'm looking for aesthetics more than performance..
