350z

Today I saw a 350z driving aggressive so I caught up with him at a stop light. He knew I meant business and revved his engine to let me know he did to. The light went green and off we went. At the beginning of first he had me until v-tec kicked in and then I started pulling. In the beginning of second he caught up and we were neck and neck. We got up to 90 and I had to slow down because of traffic ahead. I am sure he was stick (talked with him at the next stop light). I did not ask if he had mods. I am pretty sure he would have started to pull in 4th.

congrats! what kind of mods do you have? It's quite amazing that you kept up with a 350Z MT, even if it's stock! I thought it can do 0-60 in 5-6 seconds and 1/4mile in low 14's. Anyways, again, good job man!

Our high end is much better

There torque just starts to drop after 5K, they have a low/mid range torque advantage and after that we start to catch up.

I forgot how many car lengths I put on modded Zs but I only have:
i/h/cat/e/p/VAFC. From what I've seen and heard the 6spds make a huge difference with power. Had another Acura doubt my power output until I pointed out that he had an automatic and thats why his gains were not as high.

I've had the exact same experience twice with different 350Z MT. The second time included a Gallardo and we lined up 3 times and everytime the 350z and I were side by side to the end of 3. I've got a AT.

I am not sure but only guessing that they will pull on us in 4th. I was in my buddies G35 and he got up to 150 like nothing. I still think I could put a lenth or 2 on him from a dig.

I want to say this is over simplification but the extra lift really does help the car breathe

Supposedly our low and mid range is also good due to VTEC and allowing lobes best sized for each portion of the powerband, yeah its only 2 stage VTEC but you get the idea. Thinking about it the bypass valve and in general teh IM design helps a lot wit the torque output through out the powerband giving us good low and high end power.
