328i vs TL-S
well pretty much my girlfriend was in class with some kid thats in my lit class...
long story short, he said that i must be stupid i think i could beat his 328i... mines completely stock 5 a/t and his is completely stock besides a CAI... maybe i mean maybe i he can beat me on a track bc hes RWD but this kid crashed his car the 1st week he got it... his fault...
hmmmm, to begin with... my car would prob win right?
and does anyone have any tips on brake torqueing?

Dude, if you've got that TL-S in your sig, tell him it's a waste of gas to race him. You'd win without a doubt. Now, if you're willing to drive next to someone who obviously can't drive, it's up to you. Have your flagger you guys up. When the flagger checks to see if you're both ready, that's when you start brake boosting slightly. On the drop, half-throttle until you pass the flagger, then roll onto full throttle. Make a vid of his excuses, and afterwards, tell his that Go90go asks him, "What's the difference between a porcupine and a BMW?"
The answer: "A porcupine has the pricks on the OUTside."
~Cheers~
P.S. Have fun, be safe.

The 328i's are the poor man's BMW... the cheapest BMW there is out in the BMW lineup. I first thought that you had some 2001 TL-P or something..but damn..07 TL-S? Seriously...no need to waste gas. Don't waste your time and effort.
Oh, and I meant to say tell "him". I don't know why I can't type today...
To me, poor man's BMW is a beat up 2002, haha, not the year, the model. That and a E36 318 for the US. I see nice looking E90 323is here, but it still gets me how the smaller motors are still sold over here. Maybe BMW should keep selling the 323/5 in the US for fuel economy reasons...
~Cheers~

1/4 mile in 15 flat for auto, they do have a 5 speed manual too, which is faster.
That means 328 manual can easily do high 14s, same as TL

If you shift at like 6200rpm, chances are at the next gear, you might be at 4000rpm or something, and you will lose quite a bit of speed doing so.
Short shifting is for amateurs.

Really? wow that driver probably didnt know how to drive then if it was a 335. Thats all I can think of.
I'm sure a TL-S could handle a 328 on a track. Their cornering abilities are probably somewhat similar but the TL-S would just destroy it in the straights.
TL-S > 328 .. period.
335i on the track? forget about it.

as for the OP, blow his doors off. 328 was no match against my 2g TL-S (not stock) and its defi no match for your 3g

Not the landspeed runs, of course, but shit, over 650BHP AND 29MPG? Gotta love his tune!
