so after leaving the late night races tonight i lined up with this guy i had just met. he starts revving his engine, i lower my window and say "i know im going to lose, but lets do it anyway" earlier he told me he had an ECU reflash, i know his car is MT and has a NIIICE exhaust. Im watching the light change and when the green comes up i drop it from 4k into d4 (i know, ghey auto launch, but its under warranty ) and jump about half a car ahead of him, then he catches me as i approach 6 k and i shift and jump ahead and keep pulling and jump into third and by then i shut down.

excuse: "i was looking at you when you launched instead of the light" sure

so i say lets jump from a roll
we line up doing 30 and im real high in the revs, i thought i was about 4k, but i was in 5k so when he honks 3 times i immediately hit the rev limiter, but my initial jump kept me ahead and when i shift i pulled away again.

excuse:" i hit the rev limiter too man" i know this was BS because i wouldve heard it.

and i have a 99 tlp

it definitely wasn't a TT model as he would have crushed you, but good kill anyways especially if he had some mods.

 

^ive been crushed by a TT model. it was a couple of car lengths from a roll, i dont know about a dig though. is it possible to have a reflash if he doesnt have a turbo?

I'm still stuck on the neutral drop comment lol. I did the same to the parents' car when I was 16 and never broke it somehow. The thought of doing it in the TL makes me puke in my mouth.

Good run with the 300. A manual to manual or auto to auto race should aways be in favor of the TL.

I mean if both cars have the same transmission, the TL should win by more. With him having a manual and you having an auto, that's the faster version of the 300 vs the slower version of the TL. If he had an auto too, you probably would've beaten him worse.

 

Yeah, the auto N/A 300 ZX could barely get to 60 in under 8 seconds.

 

That's sad....how did it do that with 220hp or something like that and it's not that heavy at 3300lb?

 

I'm sure that Non-Turbo 300ZX would beat my IS350. I would get trounced by it. Oh yeah....
