30 bucks off

I got a Holiday Card from Acura saying "Thank You for your continued business" and attached to the card was a 30$ Off coupon that I can use at the dealership's service dept. Currently, my car has no problems and i dont need an oil change, so what should I do with the coupon? It expires at the end of this month. I was thinking of just buying an Acura Keychain or something.

Give it a try anyways....if not, ask them and see if you could use it a later date since you're not up for any service at the moment.

This happened to my wife's car, and they were cool with it...then again, we've been going to this dealership since we purchased the car - so that usually helps.

You'll never know, good luck with it.

LOL. A customer tried that with another advisor a few days ago at work. I was using the computer next to him and he looks over and asks, "How do I apply this coupon?" while turning it towards me with a big bold EXPIRES 11/30/08. In front of the customer, I respond, "What do you mean, 'what do I do with it?', you throw it in the trash because it is expired." LMAO. The customer didn't seem to thrilled with my utter disgust and rejection of the coupon.

Although, I have told customers to just come back and see me to redeem coupons later if they I gave them one right after a service. It's all on the service advisor most of the time. Coupons are just price mods.

Key chain or perhaps a hat, yes, but license plate? No. I gave my dealership's plate back to them and put my own plate on.

It don't think it makes a differnece if it is a coupon or a certificate if it says it is for service it prob needs to be used for service. The hat, keychain, plate frame, whatever...those would come from parts, not service.

I would simply give them a call and tell them at this point you do not require any service or preventitave maint. but the certificate does expire so will they honor it at your next service visit when it is expired or can you use it for parts? Remember, the nicer you are the further you will get!

Let us know what you do with it
