yeah, if he's got a turbo, s/c, or nos. I've got a buddy here in rancho that has a white rsx w/ a black carbon fiber hood. Under the hood is a 'rev hard' stage 1 turbo kit. It moves. If i get ahead from the start, I win. Other wise its a game of catch-up, which I can slowly do. It (rsx) goes slow from the shifts, so I pass or gain during his shifts. But then the top of his gear has WAY MORE pull. Luckilly, it seems like he shifts short, and I usually end up on top. If I was driving his car(rsx-s) and he in mine(tl), Id smoke him.

I'm pretty sure the TL-S can take the RSX-S stock for stock..dunno about the 2005 models though (upgrade of 10 HP). 2004/2005 TL (6 Speed) > TL-S> RSX-S Atleast that's how I saw it..

The RSX would go off the line. HP is how fast a car "can" go, torque is how fast it will get you there.
I think the RSX would win off the line but the TL would close in, especially around the 3rd gear.

I own both cars. The RSX Type S is fast, but not that fast. Take it to the twisties and the RSX will beat it. But in a stright line, forget about it, the TL rules. I will say though, a CAI on an RSX S does it a lot of justice, but again, not enough to take on the TL 6MT.

do you have a
supercharger on the RSX type S?
we're talking about 260 ponies with an intake, super charger, and headers. I am sure torque is lower than a tl but I think the RSX would be quite a performer.

i had a rsx type-s as a loaner car and it's not really fast at all. i mashed the pedals and you really don't feel the pull that the TL gives you. it is definitely more nimble but as far as straight line acceleration the TL wins easily. what were the magazine 0-60 times for the RSX?

I'm glad somebody came with real numbers. I drove an RSX-S with manual transmission and that car feels SCARY fast off the line and in vtech RPMs it screeeams. I don't know if it'll outrun a TL but it would be a good race.

My bro has the a 04' RSX type-s...and compared to a 2002 TL -S , I think that the RSX-S has a better VTEC acceleration. After about 5k rpm, it accelerates and pulls really hard. But, I think that the TL-S has a better overall acceleration.
My opinion, dunno if you guys agree with me.
