So a little over 1/2 year now the 2004 TL has been out.
So what is the feedback in terms of style-appeal ( 2nd gen vs the 3rd gen)
Lets leave out the gadget comparison and base this poll on exterior look alone.2nd

 

I've owned both. I like the looks of both, and I don't prefer one over the other. The 2G is "sleeper"--doesn't look like it can hustle, but does. The 3G looks like what it does--it's a sporty sedan that really hustles.

I think the 2002/3 refreshing looks better than the 1999-2001 original 2G TL.

 

i never even knew what a TL was before the 2K4...

i mean i saw them all the time... but never paid attention because they were so plain jane

 

u put this poll in the 3rd gen and expect anything other than a land slide?

 

I was never interested in the TL until the 2004 came out. The previous TLs were too plain.

 

Same here, although I did consider a CL Type-S before.

 

Sorry to all you 2nd genners, but I would have never bought a TL before the 3rd gen style. I probably would have ended up with an 03 G35 if I got my car last year. The 2003 and below TL just doesn't look as sporty as all these new designs. Have to admit the blue 03 TL is nice though
