2012 tl
Not me. I prefer the 3G's styling over the refreshed 4G ugliness despite their technological advances inside the car. If the 5G fails even harder, then I'll stick with my 3G and look for another brand when I'm itching for a new car.
I like it! They really relaxed on the 'beak' look and I like how they made the headlights and such look more like the 3G. When I was at the dealership a couple of weeks ago, I sat in one with the tech package. Very roomy and comfortable. Wish I would have had time to drive it. I drove a 2011 SH-AWD w/ Tech & 6MT.. I thought it was very nicely done on the interior and I really enjoyed driving that car.

I looked at the new ones, but wasn't crazy about their styling compared to the 3g to be honest. I picked up mine 08TLS because when I saw it, I knew I had to have it. I just didn't get that feeling when seeing/driving the new TLs.
I have to admit that driving the 2011 makes me like it more and more, then I look at the outside and not so much, haven't driven a 2012 yet but I like how they downplayed the styling, still the 3G is the best looking to date!
same here. they keep asking me to trade. I'd have to admit though, the 4G 2012 model has started to grow on me, but I still prefer the look of my 3G.
I still don't like them that much. I think if I were to get one it would be for AWD option. I'd look at Audi first and if I couldn't find what I wanted, I would turn to Acura. Living in a place that has winters 6 months long, awd is a huge help. My 3G handled it well, but after driving my GF's MDX, AWD is a huge thing for me now.
Plus there is a guy at my work with a 2010 AWD TL and it's blacked out and it doesn't look half as bad with tinted tails, and all the chrome pieces blacked out.

You know the more I look at the 4G on the road, the more i don't mind it. It has that ambitious futuristic look to it, sharp, accurate, precise, ACURA!!
I think cheaper and cheaper materials will be used from now on as they mass produce these cars even more. I mean I thought the 3G has a good amount of plastic interior, but the 4G is like walking into a lego shop.

Same when they found out I only have liek 40,xxx miles on my car with the navi/ manual and clean interior. they were trying to get me to upgrade crazy. but told them I would only do it if they gave me the prototype NSX lol
Google "Bakken Formation" for more info. Same thing is going on in Pennsylvania.
I have just under 40K on my '05. I even got the ok from wife to replace, but its sort of nice not having any car payments.

the 4.5G has grown on me. the only thing i really don't like...the choppy front end of the hood/fender/bumper...the too many lines and panels. from afar the car looks sharp, then you get closer and you look at the lines up front with how everything came together it looks busy (probably just me, little details). the other thing that acura has done is go with chrome trim....EVERYWHERE. its not just the TL but the entire line up. ugh, too much bling. its also a bit bigger than the 3G (we all know this), which makes it almost too big for what i want to drive.
the other side of it...no car payments (at least on my TL). i replaced the car payment with the MDX. oye! but i at least i have my snow and crappy weather car!

Looks like the same ugliness to me. If anything, I would trade for the new TSX. I haven't driven it, but it looks 100x better than the new TL...unfortunately. Call me shallow, but I'm really into looks...lol
I really have never had much beef with the 4G, and I especially like the 2012s. I keep seeing more and more of them on the road too...I guess people are responding a little better to the MMC. I can't really picture myself driving one though.
I am way too cheap to consider a 4G. It will be quite some time before a used 2012 will come down to a price I am willing to pay. Besides, I have at least 2 more years before I even consider looking at something else. Just bought the wife a car and really dislike having two car payments. Mine will be paid off in 6 months.

Dude...that would be SO sweet!
Agreed!
I don't blame you-I wouldn't mind trying an Audi next....
I think he meant a BMW twin turbo 335.
I too think they improved the 2012 TL enough that I would consider it. The biggest problem is that I would want the top of the line model which would be very expensive. For that price you can get a decent German car.
I remeber dealing on a loaded 335 sports pack, premium, navi, etc back in 2008 and that would have run me 48k. For that mine I think I would take the BMW over the TL.
