2008 TL (NBP) Headlights - Need advice!!

So this might seem like kind of a dumb question to most of you on here, but I REALLY want to get rid of the factory style look of my TL's headlights, I can't stand the amber in both corners, drives me nuts. I also would rather not do a cheap film overlay, haven't had much luck with that in the past. So, I'm curious if you all can advise on options for me? I found these on eBay this evening:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2007-2008-AC...65aa1d&vxp=mtr

And granted these are just about perfect for my car and I love the look, I'm very hesitant to drop $609 for an aftermarket part that I only want for aesthetic purposes. But man, these do look good, perfect for a NBP TL. I almost just ordered the damn things but I know I'd be kicking myself tomorrow morning, so much more that can be done with $600+.

So, can anyone give me some advice or drop the name of someone I can talk to that can help me out? I don't mind spending some money, and would love them to come out looking as clean as these probably do once installed.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!!!!!!

why not DIY?
it'll be SO MUCH cheaper than the 609 price tag.
you will also learn on how to take stuff apart, etc.
its not so scary once you've started..

or you can send your current headlights to one of vendors on here.
his user name is JnC.
he is our resident light guru and does this as a service.

you have to remember, that this car has been out since 2004. any of your questions have already been answered.
take a little time to browse the forums.

p.s. if you were to buy headlights from ebay; I would only pick up OEM or DEPO headlights. the other manufactures might not have the same quality as OEM or DEPO

Also remember that the stock projectors are excellent.
we dont know what kind of projector lens the company in your link uses.
might be inferior.
so, you're gonna spend 600 for some inferior lighting.
just some thought

Open them up and take the reflectors out, I did it in an afternoon and even painted my trim black inside. While you're in there upgrade your projector lens, ZKW-R's are between $25-40 from theretrofitsouce.com and give you a better cutoff.

Or you can buy them from Ack for $150 trading in your lights.

Thanks guys, appreciate (I guess) the input. I have searched high and low for a vendor that will actually communicate and SELL me a set of custom lights with a very nice core exchange, but for whatever reason nobody is responding to my inquiries (and the money isn't an issue as long as it's not $610), so I posted this to see if anyone legit would come through, got a couple replies, asked a couple follow up questions, and then no reply. I was trying to have a set in hand by this coming Thursday since my tuner will have my bumper off anyway, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen.

Anyone out there with a nice set of V2's in gloss black and lenses for sale please message or just call me. I do want quality though, especially if I'm going to exchange flawless 2008 cores from a TL with 25K on it. I'm a new forum member but have a great rep on eBay as a buyer and seller (ceedubb200). Let me know!
