2007 TL Type S value
I've been thinking of trading in my 2007 acura tl type s with 52,000 miles on her. I've been to two different honda dealers looking to trade in on a honda accord. The problem is the dealers say that I can't go buy KBB. One dealer offered me 17,500 and the other dealer offered 18,750. Is there another way to figure what my car is worth? As I was walking away from the last dealer A service tech started talking to me and told me that it's worth more than what the dealer offered and there going to make a great profit off of it.

You made a good decision by not trading it in for what they were offering you IMHO.

I think you answered your own question. What makes you want to sell (cost vs. want something new/different)? Selling might be a bad idea- what would you replace it with? You might have seller's remorse if you sell. If it's in good condition, you enjoy it, and the payments aren't too much (or it's paid in full), I'd keep it. Trading up for another car is usually a losing proposition, and usually more costly.

Those are actually decent offers although obviously much less than you can get private party. There is a benefit though to trading in because you will then only pay taxes On the difference between your trade in value and the new vehicle price. So in reality if your saving $1500 in taxes your really getting closer to 20K for your car. Private sale your TLS is probably worth 22ish give or take.

Mind you we are in a totally different market up here, but I just bought a 2007 TL-S KBP with 46,000 miles for 24,500 but it was Certified by the dealer.....I pick it up tonite...can't wait
Everyone has different reasons, but I would take the TL-S any day over an Accord.

^^^ Congrats agray! Be sure to post pics.
RedCamaro, if you get the hankering to try and sell it again, you can always put it on the Acurazine Black Market....

I have made my decision to keep it. Thanks everyone for the support. The car is in perfect conditon and runs great. I just wanted to try and get away from the premium gas but I figured it out and it's only a few bucks more to fill the tank. I did take notice that when I was shopping around that none of the accords were comfortable to sit in and none have the extras the my tl has. WHAT WAS I THINKIING! Once again thanks for the help.
