2007 TL Type-S ride quality
so I've had my car for about 6-7 months now and i feel like the ride quality has become a little poor. Now i live in Quebec, Canada where our roads are like the surface of the moon. But i find even little bumps are felt in the car .
I believe maybe its because im use to the car now and i'm being critical of the vehicle, is this a normal behavior since its a stiffer suspension or could there be something wrong with my suspension or anything?
I keep my tire pressure at about 35 all around.
Your input or suggestions would be kindly appreciated.

Well unless something happened to the car I don't see how your ride could have changed so it sounds like your just getting used to it. The Type S does ride somewhat firm so if you live in an area with rough roads your gonna feel it.
Stock pressure is 35 front 32 rear. How are your tires are they old or still decent?
I have a feeling your car is fine. My wife's 04 Accord with the 17" wheels actually feels stiff so much so that it may ride firmer than my 07 Type S.

I also forgot to mention i took my car to the Acura dealer 2 months ago, and they found that my back suspension was "loose". They tightened it up and it felt much better. But now i think im just use to it.
Should i still be using stock pressure numbers with this tires?

Ya i figured it might have been that. My tires are new, i bought them in the start of this summer, they are Yokohama S.Drive tires.

As for pressure I use the same differential that they recommend front to rear, but add 1lb. Its not a big deal or anything but thats just how I do it. So my front tires I run 36 and the rears 33. Car rides great I currently have the continental DWS tires and am averaging 25mpg with my 07 Type S 6mt with no highway miles (all far suburbs). The roads where I live here in the burbs are actually very nice so I cant complain too much about poor ride quality.

About 65-70% of my mileage is highway, the rest city. I keep my tire pressure at about 39/40psi during the summer here (mostly because its very hot, and I'd rather not have my TPMS go off as soon at it drops 10-15 degrees, which it has done already). I also keep my back tires at the same psi because I like that little lift given from the added air pressure (makes it feel more sportier, to me). Your ride is most likely no different than when you first purchased it. As JTS stated, the TL-S suspension is a bit stiff, I can really tell that in the city here, where roads are constantly being worn. I noticed you mentioned tires are fairly new. Did you notice this when you first purchased the tires? These could definitely be a harder tire (higher mileage rated tires usually are) and rides a bit rougher. Also, I'm not positive on this (correct me if I'm wrong), but I believe that if its a performance tire, it has higher reinforced sidewalls (to prevent blowout) and therefore wont absorb as much of the impact from the road. Hope this provides some insight :-D.

^^^ 40psi in your tires that seems a bit steep especially since once they get warmed up that means they probably go to like 43psi. It's during the winter that tires tend to lose some pressure not summer. I would get them back down closer to Acura's recommended spec of 35 front 32 rear. Your tires might thank you to.

Nono, I keep them at 40psi when they are warmed, normally about 37-38ish. The weather here is very sporadic and usually extremely humid. Average temperatures here during August are like 95-100 actual temp, 110+ heat index. About 3 weeks ago my tires were at about 31/32 warm, and the very next day it rained, I was driving, and my psi dropped to like 28-29 (warm) and my TPMS sensor warned me about tire pressure. Tires are good, I've kept a watch over them, never a nail/screw/dry rot (knock on wood, fairly new tires, 4k miles on em).
I'm also getting about 23-26mpg hwy.
Perhaps I'll let out alittle air and drop the psi to about 36 hot. I just dont want to keep wasting quarters because the climate cant control itself here :'(.
