2007 TL Type-S (Brakes)
2007 TL Type-S (Brakes)
Not sure if this is possible, but has anyone changed there actual brake pads to the something like the fronts or painted the rears? My has started to get dis-colored by the rim cleaner I used and its not really black anymore I love the paint Acura logo pads in the front but why are the rears just plain and not very nice looking.
Any ideas what could be done???

If the rim cleaner you are using is discoloring your front calipers I would discontinue it's use immediately. Actually if it were my car I would not use rim cleaner is they are made with acid and will eat the crap out of your wheel finish given enough time. Wheel/Rim cleaner = BAD NEWS.
I'm not 100% clear on your post, but I think that's what you're talking about.
I used a 50/50 solution of Simple Green/Water and a dash of car wash soap. This has always worked for me with no ill effects, but some on the car detail forum would say even this is too harsh of a solution. Stay away from those acid based wheel cleaners, they will F your stuff up in short time.

Thanks for the feedback. Sorry if I was not 100% clear. I was simply using the typical tire cleaners that you find in any Automotive store which I thought would be ok to use on the rims. What I was trying to find out is if anyone out there has changed the rear calipers on a 2007 TL Type-s to look like something that Acura is using on the front wheels.
