lembowski, you won't be able to sell these in the Black Market. The BM is for personal items, and these are commercial items.

You will need to make arrangements with Astroboy to become a vendor, and it would be good if you can do that soon or I will have to do something about this thread. If you do not want to become a vendor or if you need any help in this matter let me know.

If anyone else is planning to try to sell these or get them made, the same thing applies.

Why not, count me in, too. I test drove the TL-S before going with my 06 TL and that key was one of the little things I didn't want to give up.

the only problem i see (if you are even able to mill the laser blank to spec) is that people still need to go to the dealer to have the immobilizer chip mated with their ecu. who knows if the chip that comes in the key will even work.... the rdx key had a little box inside.... my key had a small capsule.

if the dealer is unable to program the tl/rdx immobilizer chip to work with your ecu, you will have to hack one of your keys apart to take the chip out, and you will also have to hack the flip key apart to swap chips

Since you will not be able to Black Market them, what about ebay? I am extremely interested in one of these keys, and more than willing to pony up $80 for it.

I am assuming that we would have to buy the key and send it to you. Is that correct?

This sounds like a good plan. Since I'm not sure how many I will do, and it won't be that many. After I take care of a few personal local friends I might put them on ebay.

Please don't pm me with requests, I spoke to my guy and you still CAN NOT order them through Acura.

On a side note, with what jkautosport said about the immobilizer chip, yes it could be pricey do get done at the dealership.............

When i did the Accord key mod awhile back I DID remove the immobilizer from my valet key as to not mess around with the dealer. I was told around $40 for them to make the connection. Sorry I wasn't thinking about that, because I was just planning on putting my immobilizer from my accord key in the new 2007 FOB. I removed the immobilizer from my valet key with a exacto knfe so it wasn't too hard. I just thought the hardest part of this new key would be the grinding the metal blade and making it fit (since not everyone has access to a metal grinder/shop) this was the only part I was going to take care of. After that all you would be left to do is mate following the steps posted everywhere.

To ease the MODS I will NOT be doing any business though PM's for this. I will ask RON once I have a few left over how I should go about getting rid of them.

Unless I'm missing something, that is definitely wrong; I bought one myself and others have too.

I just dropped the blank off at a machinist and should have it back on Monday. I'm still doubtful it will work because of the key grooves and I'm not sure if a locksmith can put those on a blank. I'm not too concerned about the $$, but it's getting a little out of hand already.

If someone could confirm the hand brake/pedal gyrations to sync the ecu/chip, that would be awesome.

I haven't spoke to him since Wednesday, so i guess I should call him to see if they are in the system. And what key grooves are you speaking of? I'm looking at a standard blank key infront of me, and I don't see any grooves.........

carpecervisi were you able to program the transmitter? i just got my tl transmitter today, and i've run into a potential problem.

the lock function works perfectly, however, unlock will not work at all

i bought the driver1 transmitter first, and noticed it didn't unlock, sooooo i went back to the dealer and the dude let me trade the driver1 transmitter for driver2. driver2 still does not unlock, but i notice that when programming the remote, the car recognises the trunk button, and unlocks the doors/trunk. once the remote is programmed, though, the trunk button doesn't do anything.

ugh, sorry to hear that man. Not sure about the reciever. I'm sure if there is a will theres a way. I'm sure it would involve taking your existing reciever out and trying to fit in in this shell. Who knows it might be easy.

Interesting. No, when I called my local dealer to see if they had them they said "sure". I asked if I needed to reserve one if I was coming the next day and he just laughed at me. Evidently, they had plenty available.

ok an update:

i found out via the tsx forum that the memory function can be turned off on these remotes! if you press and hold lock+unlock, it is disabled....

i tried this, and it works perfectly! this means that these transmitters are compatible with the tsx, rsx, tl, accord, etc.....even if they don't have memory seats!
