2007 TL-S Debate

Hello all,
Forums look great, hope to become a valid member. Without any biased insight (although there will be some) I am interested in trading in my flawless 2005 Audi A8 4.2L fully loaded with 85k miles towards a Tl Type S. The one I am looking at is $21,500 2007 Black type-S with tranny just flushed and 47k miles. The car is CPO and will come with the 12 month 12k, and the 7 year 100k warranties.

Is there anything I should be looking out for when checking out the car etc? It looks like it has newer brakes all around, all seats and interior is in perfect shape, the whole car is near perfect. My only issue is am i being taken for trading in my 05 A8 and only getting $15k for it towards this. And although this is a acura forum, do you think the deal is worth it/ fair.

Thanks so much! Please reply soon as I am going to get the car tomorrow night possibly!

The price seems good. Is it a stick or manual transmission?

A couple of new members just bought their type-s with about 30-40k for about $20-23k.
so the car you're looking at is in the correct price range for mileage and year.

If you feel that you're being taken on your trade in, dont trade it in.
Sell it. You'll get MORE than 15k for it.

^ I agree...sell the A8 privately if you can. If it's mint you'll get a lot more than 15K for it.

Just as they said buy the TL then take your time and sell the Audi on your own. I did just that and actually had my Lexus sold in only 1.5 weeks and it even sold at my asking price. Only problem for you is im sure its going to be tougher to sell an A8 so it may take more time. It depends on whats more ijmportant to you right now...getting rid of the car quickly and easily for less money, or having it for a while and going through the hassle of selling it yourself, but for more money...possibly a lot more.

The TL is auto trans. Carfax reports it just had its trans flushed too. Thing is with my A8 i love the comfort and the ride is a good 3x more comfortable than the TL, although its supposed to be. I just see it like this: honda engineering=extremely long life. Plus it doesn't require special computers like the audi does so my mechanic who does my stuff for free in return for computer repairs can do any maintenance needed on the tl.

Anything down the road worth noting that could go wrong with the TL? I haven't seen anything out of the ordinary besides just new rotors/brakes every so often along with the timing belt procedure at 100k.
