2007 rebuilt - totaled type s

Bought this 07 type s from a neighbor, crashed. He didn’t have insurance on it so the title is clean - non salvage and the carfax shows 0 accidents. I replaced the subframe and suspension, but now I don’t know what to do with it, can’t really afford the body work LOL

Holy crap!

Get a bumper cover, headlight, door, fender and install... Looks like you need a mirror and rocker panel too...

Is your alignment good?

Do an inspection and check EVERYTHING!

There are many YouTube videos demonstrating how...

I am under the impression it runs and drives, correct?

Does it make any sounds?

Put it on Craigslist, clean no accidents non salvage and only take pictures of the drivers side.

I drive the hell out of this thing lmao. I did all the work myself, it’s drives AWESOME. Cold ac, doesn’t pull in any direction, shifts perfect. Even the destroyed doors window goes up and down a little as well as locks. Can’t beat Honda, what an awesome car. Sucks I can’t do body work myself. Just needs too much work. I’m gonna dump it and take a financial loss.

Why on earth would you buy it knowing you can't do body work?

It cost me $300 and has a clean non salvage title with 0 accidents on carfax. Was a lot of fun to drive the past year, brought me smiles.

Ok, that makes sense then. If we knew it was $300, that is a no brainer. How much do you have in it so far?

$4500. I made the mistake of falling in love. Man I regret buying those new lug nuts right about now lol.

ill probably end up parting it out and taking a huge loss. Cool car though, they’re fun.

Its not. The unibody is tweaked. Hit right in the door fender seem. A body shop could maybe pull it, but I THINK the correct fix is to cut the car apart and use a donor piece of unibody. Idk. I should have just passed lol. It’s drives perfect looks terrible and needs a lot of interior work

Subframe
steering rack
Both front struts
all the front end ball joints
all 5 motor and transmission mounts
all four brake rotors and pads
engine service
rims (it had base model TL wheels only when I bought it)
steering wheel airbag
black center console (the original one broke in the accident)
Those damn lug nuts.

like I said, I fell in love prematurely. I’ve had the car for two years, they were worth way more a few years ago. I saw a high mileage type s for $5500 on Craigslist. Sucks for me, this turd isn’t worth anything.

I would have bought it and parted it. Used the money to buy a clean one.

To fix that damage is going to be another 2-3K in paint and bodywork so you are probably better selling it as is or parting it out to recoup some money. You can list a ton of parts on ebay! Shipping is the worst part....

Damn you had a 50/50 shot and were wrong, I’m guessing that happens a lot in your life.

Its a 6 speed manual

It’s not a 50/50 when there are mostly auto TSXs on the road.

Id still rock the 3G.

I would have taken the 6-spd TSX over a damaged TL auto as well. Trade-offs....always different for different individuals.

On second though, that TL was a piecer.

Good on ya for getting in on such a good trade.

Acura made few of the 6MTs.
