2007 loaner while my 2005 is worked on

They need my car for a few days because the clear coat on the front bumper section was peeling off. So they are going to have that part re-clearcoated under warranty. In the meantime, they gave me a 2007 TL to drive. There are several things about the 07's that I really like compared to my '05:

1) I really do like the tail lights on the 2007's. I might check into having those put on my '05.

2) The dashboard display looks much "richer". Especially the display for the radio, CD player, climate control, etc. Plus the displays like the speedometer, odometer, etc also look a little more upper class, for lack of a better term.

3) The SVC control (Speed Volume Control). I like how it increases the volume while driving although it can have some drawbacks.

4) I absolutely love the foglights down lower on the front.....it really looks great in my opinion. Much better than the integrated fog lights on my '05.

5) The stock 17" rims look much more aggressive than the '05 stock rims. Although I now have the 18" RonJon Inspyres I still like my original stock rims, but the ones on the '07 are definitely nicer.

6) The controls for the trip computer on the steering wheel instead of on the dash. A nice touch and more easily acessible.

7) I like the compass that shows on the center display. Depicts the body of the car and shows which compass direction you are heading. Although I'm not sure you need to see that all the time so it would be nice if there were a way to shut that particular display off if you didn't want to see it.

The loaner they gave me is silver. I still think the silver that Honda and Acura has is too flat a silver. It would look much nicer if the color was more like my 2000 VW Jetta, which was a brighter, more metallic looking silver. Still it's a very nice color.

Just not as nice as my Anthracite Metallic

Nothng beats black or Anthracite Metallic. Anyway, the changes were made to make the 07 seem better as a car compared to the 04-06 TL. I agree somewhat on the silver paitn part tha tit is to flat, the older silver looks a little better (SSM) because it has a little more of a blueish tint to it.

What do you think of the suspension and steering?

I'm trying to think back when my '05 was new and still with the stock 17" rims. It seems that the steering is a little tighter on the '07 and the ride a bit softer than when my '05 was new. But that might be skewed since I have spent the past 7 months riding on 18 inch rims and now the ride of the the '07 REALLY seems soft in comparision.
