2007 Base Steering wheel interchangeable with 2007 Type S ?

Does anyone know if the 07 base steering wheel fit our Type S? I am talking about the steering wheel by itself w/o the airbag , audio control buttons / CC . Thinking to get the base one and transfer all the buttons , airbag /cc / audio etc to the base one . Is it possible ?

Yup, the only difference you'll notice is if you have an auto, there's paddle shifters. I can't recall how they're mounted but you can probably swap it over easily.

How come you are tying to change it? I thought the only difference was the little screw in panel that said type s in the bottom?

You can, that trim piece with the type-s logo is held on by one screw.

I think what Dave means is that you should be getting a custom wheel done up instead of replacing with used OEM!

You're good to swap everything over
Everything is the exact same, besides the type-s logo trim.

AC is soooooo nice in this weather thanks again man! I have not forgotten!

These have been discontinued long ago. I think Bruce got his hands on a couple of them way back and sold it.

This is even better:

Padded A-Spec style steering wheel cover from Redline goods.

if you search, you'll see that people have done it. Use google rather than the internal search tool, add "site:acurazine.com" to it to limit to just this site

The paddle shifters are useless due to the s l o w shifting nature of the 5a.Just get your wheel redone.
