2007 Acura TL value...

I have another thread going in the Photo Section on how my car was recently declared totaled by my insurance company. Here is my question, is the value they give you for the car negotiable? I was just given an amount of 22475.00 for my car. My car is an 07 Base w/ Nav, it has approx 53,000 miles. And was in very good condition with no major blemishes on it. The interior was in good condition with no tears or major defects on the seats. Should I be trying to get more or is that a fair price? Thx in advance...

Here's a link to my other thread with pics to get an idea of the condition... Thx

That doesn't seem like a bad number. Clean retail price on NADA calls for 23k, but yours is smashed. For 26k you can get an 07 with 28k miles on it.

Considering the Suggested Retail is $23860 and Private Party in Excellent condition is $20,960, I believe the price of $22475 to be fair. Having said that, you know the price won't go down, so try and get them up to $23000 if that would make you feel better.

If you look at the CPO cars in this area, you'll find '07's with Nav for +/-$24000 with lower miles and the Acura warranty.

Seems pretty fair to me. I assume insurance will let you keep your wheels and put the stock ones back one, right?

Well see if you can take some of the parts off the car and resell them, or put them on your new TL (if you get a TL though). I think its pretty fair though!

Sorry but consider this irrelevant as the price is region dependent and one would do the selling/buying in the generally location of his residence (Philly), but I guess you might want to check for prices in Montana or Hawaii for comparison.

Thx for all the input guys, I figured the price was fair but I just wanted a 2nd opinion. I just got back from the dealership and I took all the aftermarket equipment off. It was a sad sight to see her in that condition

say what?

if he goes on cars.com or whatever and sees all the TL in his area around that price then it is fair.......lol around here they are in that price range so i would say a fair price..... if he goes and sees the TL area higher price for that age range then it is not a fair price, if he see TL lower price then it is more than fair

when posting a reply in a thread one should understand that it is assumed that you are referring to the cars in his area.....lol

OP

around where I live (in MN) you can get TL-S for about 24-26K depending upon milage.....
