2007 3 Spoke Steering Wheel

Acura finally decided to make a 3 spoke steering wheel for the TL.

I have a 2006 TL with a carbon fiber steering wheel. I really like the 3 spoke though on the 07. I don't think a carbon fiber 3 spoke steering wheel option is available for the 07 though. I would lose the carbon fiber which I really like if I decided to do the change.

Anyone else change up or considering changing their 04-06 steering wheel for the 07?

Yeh I agree. I feel like the 3 spoke is so much more sporty.

one thing to keep in mind though...you will need to do the whole swap including airbags...so I am assuming its a 2K + job....worthless for that much money IMHO...

it is unlike the carbon fiber wheel swap for 400-500 that everyone has been doing...

hmm...i wonder (even if we had that much money to blow) if the swap would be a simple plug and play sort of thing. I think the buttons are on the opposite side now right?

I don't see why it wouldn't be? And yeh, I think the buttons are on the opposite side now.

I guess when it all comes down to it, it'd be nice and all but not worth it overall

I believe the new wheel also has controls for the MID as well.

Oh man.....that would be SO useful. It's so cumbersome at times having to reach over and pressing buttons to get to the desired MID screen display.

I don't like 3-spoke steering wheels because my prefers hand position when steering is one finger on the 6-o'clock position :P On the 3-spoke steering wheels there's a damn spoke where i want to put my finger!

I am thinking of swapping the steering wheel as well. The only thing I like about it is the paddle shift.

you guys arent realizing quite a few things...

1st....the MID controls are on the wheel.. chances are, these is no harness to hook this up to an 04-06 TL..

2nd.... you need a new airbag!! big $$$

3rd.... the paddle shifters wont just magically work... again, a wiring harness of some sort must be present... if you got this wheel in your new car and had it hooked up properly.. expect the costs to be clost to $2k or so... is that worth it??

and who knows if the bolts are even the same for a simple line up and/or bolt on

also.. i miss my UA6 steering wheel... i like the 4 spokes, made it more comfortable to drive with one hand and change lanes on the freeway
