2006 TL vs 2007 Accord V6
Okay, i had a 2002 TL-P which i sold to the dealership and leased a 2006 TL.... The day i took the car, it had 42 Miles only. So me and my friend with his 2007 V6 Accord thought to race and see how it goes because he smokes my 2002TL-P before. The race started and stayed until 120MPH.... Turned out we both stayed the same... None of us pulled on each other. I mean i have 2006TL 258HP and he got a 2007 Accord 244HP .... I couldnt pull on him .... we both stayed the same EXACTLTY!!! maybe its the weight or sumthin..

800 miles compared to 100 makes alot of diffrence. Anyway, didn't you have a full tank of gas weighing you down?

Sorry to say it, but a well driven accord v6 is just as fast as a 2004-2006 tl. Maybe .25 of a second slower at worst. And they run on 87, and get a bump in power w/ 91 octane. I think of it as a tuff little brother to our cars. By the way, is yours manual or auto and also whats he, manual or auto?

Also VTEC doesn't kick in until the first oil change (or 7000 miles) Got that from my service advisor when asking about the MDX.

15 years ago the top of the line accord had about 140hp. Now the most powerful accord excluding the hybrid makes 244hp SAE, but it's like 250-260 in terms of the old system. The gain is about 79%. In another 15 years, I wonder if we will see such a gain, if so, we will be seeing accords with close to 450hp. Not to mention that the fuel economy hasn't really gone worst (I still remember my 1992 accord having only slightly better fuel economy than the newest accord V6).
