Ok... So a quick hit....

Dash Crack
HFL draining battery
They blow axles
They blow engine mounts
3rd gear synchro issues
Mirror Actuators fail

So that's the basics...

They're great cars... Check it out and if the deal is good go for it!

On a side note, a member here on AcuraZine is selling a clean gray 2006 6MT for $5500 in the Marketplace sub forum.

There are gobs of historical threads just like this you can search out and find.

Adding to the list:
- MT, do your best to confirm no clutch slippage
- be aware of the 105k timing belt maint schedule and costs
- front compliance bushings tear
- radio amplifiers get noisy and/or fail
- power steering pump leaks
- main seal, oil pump, cam seals, etc....have those checked and seals replaced during TB service

Overall very few "major" common issues with these. Most "issues" are wear items and need attention at this age/mileage. On a MT, the clutch condition and confirmation it has never been over rev'd are the big ones that are different than the AT.

That would be me https://acurazine.com/forums/market/985058

No cracked dash, no battery drain (I don't use HFL anyways), replaced an axle recently, engine mounts seem fine, 3rd gear is smooth as butter, mirror actuators work but slowly and they do the clicking thing.

Again, specific to my car that was mentioned: no clutch slippage, t-belt has been done, haven't noticed any bushing tears but I suppose I can't be sure, radio works great, power steering pump replaced recently, no idea what specifically was done during t-belt service since the previous owner got it done - it was at Acura Boston though so I assume they did everything.

Boom!

There's nothing that isn't easy to address. Buy it.

I also have a 2006 6MT; if the car is in good shape, like the car @LeVeL has for sale, buy it. When I shopped for mine I looked at literally 100 cars over a five month period before buying mine, if @LeVeL's car was available back then, I would have bought it in a heart beat.

I have a 6MT and it still flies high! 0 - 60 in under 6 seconds. There's STILL nothing like it after 16 years!

Good luck!
