2006 Starter

My car is having trouble starting. Battery level is good so Its not that or alternator etc. I read changing the starter is pretty easy. My question is being that its a 2006 where do you recommend getting a starter at. Carquest, O'Reilly, autozone etc. Or go OEM? Thanks in advance.

My 2006 starter started acting up a few years ago. I changed the starter and the issue persisted. It turned out to be the ground strap to the chassis near the battery. It was lose and there was some corrosion. Clean and tightened it and the starter has been fine since.

Hello,
I want to replace my starter. I've seen some videos on youtube that show how to do it. But I don't think I have the right tools. Did you have to lift your car to change the starter? I don't even have a jack to lift it. I am open to ideas.

Yes I removed the battery tray as there is a bolt on the underside

you might reach it from the top but I did jack up my car. No special tools other than sockets and wrenched
