2005 TL Price?

So I went to look at my first TL today, I really like it and all, but the dealer will not move on the price. I want to pay cash too......

-2005
-35,550 miles
-No Navi
-Blue with tan interior

-----> $24,500 (lowered from $24,999)

Does this seem outrageous to you guys? Maybe the dealer knows he can move this car without a problem at that price....it is NJ after all.

Two months ago got this TL.

2005: 28k miles, listed was $27500, got them down to $26250. Auto, Came with navi, chrome wheels, aspec kit, backup sensors, xm (still working dunno how long it last), cargo tray, allseason mats, clean title in Wa. From what I've seen non-navi's dont sell as fast as navi models.

Sounds like you got a better deal than I : '05, Nav, 35k miles, Certified, blue with gray, tinted windows, paid $27.5k in Houston about two months ago.

My shopping experience was that the nav models sat on the lot for a very short time, non-navs models would be aorund for at least a month, which gives you a lot more leverage with the dealer.

Where did you guys find your TL's? Autotrader, ebay, or just visits to the local dealers?

I'm looking for a 2004/2005, AT, in the 22,000-24,000$ Price range....but that doesn't seem to exist in my area. (even non-navi)

I guess I should just be patient and maybe a slightly higher mileage TL will pop up for that price…..or just go with a comparable Maxima...haha..

WOW! Used one year old cars for almost as much as I paid for my brand spanking new 06 w/Navi? FWIW - I paid $29,700 for a brand new TL w/Navi.

I know the Navi looks amazing, and it has all the cool features.....but do you guys with navi actually use it a lot?

I don't really travel in unknown areas, and if I do, I use my Verizon wireless cellphone navigator.

Either way it seems the TL w/ Navi is always at least 2,000$ more than non-navi. Am I right?

BTW- does the Navi touch screen control any other features....like radio /climate control....I've never been in a Navi TL.

The Navi is a frill... Plain and simple.

On the Acura it is not integrated to the extent of other brands, for example HFL and Navi are completely separate units, whereas on Lexus it's all integrated, - 1 Acura.

The screen is useful for setting up the radio settings and provides more information about XM channels, etc... But other than that, it's Navi.

I've found it is very helpful going to unknown addresses or going somewhere I've never been before and simply hitting "go home" to get home.

I was shopping for a used 05 TL in November and thought the prices were pretty high. I found an 05 no nav with 34,000 miles for $27,000. I shopped around for new 06 TL and got an 06 no nav for $28,000. I would wait until the end of November 07 and get a clearance 07 TL for cheap. Sticker on mine was $34,000. I feel I got a great deal.

I actually use it a lot, but at the same time, I travel a lot. Although, even around my own area, if ur in the mood for a certain food and u dont know where one is, I use it. It has been VERY handy for me and I wouldnt go without it. If there is bad traffic and u want to go around, very easy to open up the map, zoom out a bit and look at ur alternate routes.

the cost out of factory is $2000 more but that doesn't mean u will pay exactly $2000 more used but its a good estimate.

The navi is the same screen as the radio so therefore essentially it does control the radio using touch screen. There is a radio mode and a map/navi mode.
AS far as climate control, thats all buttons, no touch screen.

Also voice activation will control radio/navi/climate in all TL's but I think its easier just to hit button for climate.

The price below would be a low starting point on the car. This is a wholesale price the dealer would be expected to pay for the car. This car has higher than normal miles and this should be reflected in the price paid for the car. I think a fair deal would be between $22,500 and $23,500.

I have an '04 SSM TL with only 12, 000 miles..........

near perfect with new Michelin Pilot Sports. Bought new, always garaged. Can I get $25,000 for it here in South Florida? Seems about right to me. Let me know.

From my experience dealer shopping, it seems the TLs do not last long on the lot, especially the Navi ones. So I guess this leaves little room for bargaining. At least the car definitely holds its value well.

Did most of you guys check your Acura dealers for pre-owned TLs?

I mostly drive in areas I know as well, but I've found the Navi to be a really useful tool for a couple of reasons: 1) there are occasions where I need to have a meeting somewhere I've never been; and 2) it does add quite a bit of functionality to the car that isn't otherwise there. Specifically, the touch screen is used for all your memory presets on the radio, CD/DVD-A, and XM; also, without the Navi you lose all of the voice commands you can use in the car. Believe it or not, I do use the voice commands to do several of the controls on the car, especially when I am in heavy traffic and can't really look down to safely "press a button", etc. I definitely think it was worth the extra $$'s. Just my .
