this has happened a few times...anyone else with this problem? always going from park to reverse. engine seems to want to die while idling sometimes; goes as low as about 200 rpms...dips down and goes back up again with a little choke. anyone?

that is odd. Take it to your dealer without waiting as this may be a sign of some other serious problems. my wild guess is that the fueil componets (FPR, filter etc,) may have a problem and it is ot sending enoguht fuel to the engine to keep it idling when under light load.

 

Hmm....maybe your intake or throttle body needs to be clean. That's a MAYBE because I had this problem too on my Toyota RAV4 and the dealer said it was the intake need to be clean/replace which I never took it in because it would cost me over $300 for that unit.

 

I dont know what it could be, I would put the stock back on and take it to the dealer, you dont really have to, but they may hassle you about it (not that they can do anything about it anyway)
