Hey guys, i just got an 05' Acura TL and I wanted to change my Daytime running lights from the hideous stock yellow colour to a whitish blue colour, and I know I need to install the LED lights but do I need a relay kit? And can it even work on an 05 TL?

 

Only '07 - '08 TLs have DRLs. The previous model years will require a DRL kit. Here's a DIY on how to install your own DRL kit, but he uses filament bulbs rather than LEDs. I'm not sure if there's a LED DRL kit out there for the '04-'06 model years as I have not researched it.

I'm dieing to Change my DRLs to a brighter Yellow. Maybe LED not sure yet.

 

Pretty sure mine has DRL's, or running lights or something. The bulb in front of the blinker, turns on when you lock or unlock the car? I also want them a different color, lol.

 

OP, I'm assuming you're in Canada since the DRLs come standard. If that's the case, then you'll find plenty of DIY regarding switching to LEDs using relay harness and resistors.

 

Yeah my 05' TL is canadian, im not talking about the fog lights im talking about the actual headlight DRL's that i want to change colour, and stocks are halogen bulbs and the only way to get the bright blue light is to switch to LED's or sumthing like that, i just wanna know if its possible for a canadian 05 TL, and if anyone has a link to a DIY for exactly what i need

 

Just buy bulbs to switch to a different colour...

Isn't bright and blue an oxymoron? lol
