2005 Auto TL Questions.

I have some questions. I have owned my 05 Auto TL for just over a month now and I have done the following modifications to my car.

Replaced engine oil with Synthetic Oil.
Put an AEM Cold Air Intake.
Replaced and flushed Anti-Freeze.

Now I am curious. I have just about 74,000 Miles on my car. And we all know how dealerships are. What should I do to my car to keep it running at its best. The TL's that have had Transmission Failures, would mine of been effected already if it was one of the EFFECTED?

What are things I should keep an eye out for?
And IF I go to my local Acura Dealer and tell them about the recalls, will they replace all of them for free?

Sorry for all the questions guys! :P But thanks for reading.

Not sure about your first question but on recalls, yes the dealership will do RECALLS for free. And welcome to AZ

There's no way to tell the transmission was serviced unless you knew the last owner. I would have the fluid drained and refilled a few times just to have peace of mind.

Also, at that mileage I would replace the cabin air filter and have your timing belt and drive belt inspected.

Do the 3x3 tranny fluid change. Search on AZ if you don't know what I am talking about.

Like Trew said- change the air filters.

Recalls are free.

Transmissions are fine for 05. it was the 1999-02 and some 03's and some very early 04 that had the issues with the transmissions. Replace the serpentine belt and rat hoses. Flush the brake fluid.Replace the filters. And watch the tires especially if they are the bridgestones. Rotate and do the allignments regular.

Hi... I would wait till 120K miles, Thats when the "Big" Tune up is. I think it contains some of this.. Timing Belt, Sparkplugs, Wires, Valve Adjust, Water Pump, Belts Ect... I wounder if the 60K service was ever done... You think. I guess you could call Acura in Wappingers Falls, NY at (800) 784-2664, and give them the VIN, and they should be able to pull up the records.
Rotate tires
Replace air cleaner element
If you drive primarily in dusty conditions, replace
every 15,000 miles (24,000 km).
Replace dust and pollen filter
If you drive primarily in urban areas that have high
concentrations of soot in the air from industry and
from diesel-powered vehicles, replace every 15,000
miles (24,000 km).
Inspect drive belt
Replace transmission fluid
Driving in mountainous areas at very low vehicle
speeds results in higher transmission temperatures.
This requires transmission fluid changes more
frequently than recommended by the Maintenance
Minder. If you regulary drive your vehicle under these
conditions, have the transmission fluid changed at
60,000 miles (100,000 km), then every 30,000 miles
(48,000 km).
Replace spark plugs
Replace timing belt and inspect water pump
If you drive regularly in very high temperatures (over
110°F, 43°C), or in very low temperatures (under-20°F,
29°C), replace every 60,000 mile (U.S.)/100,000 km
(Canada)
Inspect valve clearance
Replace engine coolant

Now I am curious how much do you think ACURA themselves would charge me. To get my transmission Fluid Replaced and such. Does anyone have prices?

If you were able to do those things yourself, the transmission fluid change shouldn't be a problem for you to do.
