Just wanted to see if anyone had heard about any or have had any transmission problems with their 2004 TL?

 

I knew there are 5 members here saying their trannies have to be replaced. Most of them found out immediate problems with their trannies in first month. 2 5AT, 3 6MT. IMO.

 

i only remember 1 6MT that had to be replaced, don't remember hearing 2 other people with. there was a recall on early VIN #s for the 5AT. it was a similar problem as the 2nd gen where there was a possiblity of overheating tranny i believe. but i have not heard anyone reporting that their tranny failed because of the same 2nd gen problem.

 

OK, there are two more I just cannot find them, I lost my collection of threads since MERGE.
