2004 TL vs. RSX Type-S....on Speed

ok well, to me i thought it was a no brainer that the TL would be faster than the rsx-s because of the extra 70 bhp....although the TL is a lot heavier but still come on!!! anyways...i was looking it up on C&D and the times show the TL (est.) 0-60 = 6 sec. and 1/4 = 14.7.........and the rsx-s 0-60 = 5.9 and 1/4 = ???.....just wanted to know what you guys think...don't really feel like not being able to beat a RSX.

Hey, my $42000 BMW gets beat by a tin can WRX, so? I wouldn't want to have to drive one.

it's yet to be reproduced, and C/D took back the initial 0-60 time they got.

My wife and I have both cars...I've got the '04 TL w/ 6MT and she has an '04 RSX Type S (we bought the together the same day). I have yet to open up the RSX because it's still being broken-in. As soon as it's to a point where I can run it hard, I'll report back.

I did not know that any of the publisher had tested the TL yet, I've been looking to see when, and what they come up with. You did say estimated, the times may be lower, or higher. I want a real instrumented test of a 6 Speed. Motortrend, Automobile, Car and Driver you hear me.

RSX 0-60 Research Results

auto.consumerguide.com : "Can feel sluggish at low rpm, but impressive power above 3000 rpm. Test Type-S did 7.8 sec 0-60 mph."

www.newcars.com : "Acura says 0-60 mph in about 6.7 seconds for the Type-S."

www.motortrend.com : "0-60 mph, sec 7.5 (est) "
This is for the TSX, not the RSX.
